A Quiet Christmas

Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year.

It has been a reasonably quiet one for me this year. Christmas Eve consisted of the traditional night in front of the TV watching the Carols at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, followed by a night tossing and turning in bed and watching the sunrise as my kids awoke in Tamworth to the arrival of the Christmas morn and Santa presents. Sadly for me, my all-nighter was not in anticipation of what Santa was going to bring me but rather because this little chickadee had forgotten to take her meds and when that happens a night of sleeplessness always follows!

So I slept the Christmas morning away while my brain chemistry restored itself and had a quiet Christmas afternoon with my folks and watching Into The Woods on DVD. The highlight of the day had to be talking to my kids on the phone although Caleb wasn't impressed that he still had 10 days to wait until he saw me.

Boxing Day was our big family Christmas and we had four out of five kids here with all their little ones.  Ella, Georgia and Evie were the highlight of the party. There is nothing quite like experiencing Christmas through the eyes of a child.

So I sit here post-Boxing day musing over they year that has been and the year that is to come. It is great to have my brother Tim, his wife Emma and their gorgeous bubba Evie here to spend a few days with us. I think I'm going to have a nice end of year break. The only thing that could make it any better would be if the kids were here...

Some much needed change

Hey there!

If you can see this you're looking at the new-and-improved blog.

You will only be able to see this blog if you log in.

Due to some weird happenings on my blog statistics, I have decided to lock my blogs down for my family's, and my own, privacy.

You have been invited because you are either family or someone I consider a dear friend with whom I want to share my life with.

Especially so because I am moving to Canberra on the 21st January, 2013 for a new start.

That's right. A big move and a new start studying Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Canberra!

I have just arrived home from a whirlwind visit which included enrolling at uni and getting my student card, seeing my new place of residence at Weeden Lodge and meeting with my employer at Bellchambers School of Music in Phillip. Thanks to Bel and Bill for the two nights accomodation and yummy dinners too!

So yes. There is change afoot. And while I may not be in Nowra anymore, there is no reason to not share my life with you. That has always been the point of my blogs. They're just more secure now!
